Bikini Babes

Despite my love of everything turtle I can't help but tire of layering up, or in my case my lack of attention to the weather. Meaning I leave the house in what some would call summer atire and then regretting my decision as soon as I'm too far away from my house to turn back and chuck on everything thick and wintery. But no fear I am getting there in coping with this weather, and one of my main motivationational tactics is dreaming of the summer and the wonderful holidays that are hopefully set to come my way. And yes if you're wondering I have already started Bikini shopping (I whisper as my Bank account groans), Here's some of my favourite of the minute picks for all you holiday go getters-

2014 Lookback-My Return

Have we become strangers again? It certainly feels that way! But fear no more my time as a Supervisor is nearly up and in around two weeks I will be free to Blog as I please. I love this time of year simply because there's so much going on from Christmas parties and excessive food(Which I know all too much about) to New Years plans and the dreaded resolutions.
ANYWAY this post is going to be a reflection on my year, so here goes.

-Blogging

My blog has actually only been running since the beginning of the year, and whilst it has increased my spending like crazy I wouldn't change it for the world. Whilst as of lately I've been really bad updating SKW i think it's so important to have interests and a life outside of work, I mean we all need something to keep us sane right?!

-Fashion Week

This year was my first as an Intern and I was lucky enough to experience London Mens Collection, and London Fashion Week. I am so greatful for the opportunities that I have been lucky enough to have had this year, and I look forward to seeing what 2015 has in store for me!

-Turning the big 18

This August saw my decent into womanhood (At least that's what I'm told) and I finally turned Eighteen. Now whilst at times it feel's the same as being 17 I do feel as if I need to take responsibility for certain things now such as my *cough* spending. And of course finally being able to flaunt your ID is a bonus!

-My Future

I decided fairly recently that I wanted to pursue a career in Fashion, this was such a big step for someone who has changed career decisions more than most. I feel like it's been such a big and fabulous learning curve for me and I'm really enjoying experiencing and deciding on which route to descend upon.

All I Want

Heels-New Look

It feels like an eternity since i've blogged and let's face it, it practically has! The latest is that i'm currently spending ny time as Womenswear Supervisor at River Island, just until January allowing me to make some extra money for christmas and experience being a supervisor which i'm still trying to get a grasp on might I add! Today's outfit is meant to be a little inspiration for this party season, throwing on heels and a long coat can add a fab pop if you're in a rush or simply unsure on what to wear for the night.   Believe it or not I'm actually a terrible shopper both online and in the stores, I diver like nobodies business and I can take up to 3 weeks to make a final decision! I'd say all of the items in this outfit were subject to this treatment and I'm suprised that I was able to get my hands on them keeping in mind the amount of time that I took making my mind up. I can't believe how close Christmas is?! And the cheek I had nearly not mentioning the festive season in this post, but thankfully Mariah Carey is now filling my eardrums and my house with Christmas spirit!

    Lots of love xx

Matalan have got it down this christmas!

The Happy December everyone, can you believe that we're only 23 days away from Christmas? That's the scariest yet exciting thing I've heard so far this month. Anyway I'm back! I'm not too sure where I've been apart from doing ridiculous shifts at River Island to fund what I can already tell is going to be an expensive Christmas.
This is a quick one from me as always as I am due to leave the house in about 3 minutes for my shift and ofcourse I choose now to start a blogpost, I am absolutely loving RI at the minute and I'm not just saying this as a former employee I promise! Their coat game has always been incredibly strong and this year I feel that they're killing the high street with new up to date fabulous styles weekly, and belive me It's tough to keep up! These fabulous trousers are from River and whilst I'm the clumsiest person in the world by reputation I just couldn't refuse them. They're the perfect slim fit which I have always adored and the cropped leg saves me rolling them up! This is one of my first jumper purchases of the year, Where have I been right?! And believe it or not it's actually from Matalan, I came across it last friday and before I knew it I was holding it to my chest keeping it safe from all the crazy Black Friday shoppers! It was amazingly only £25 and they have it in cream too!
That's it from me, Speak soon x

My first Internship

Last Friday was my final day of my 2 month Internship, and I think it's safe to mention the company and all that malarky now. I was lucky enough to intern at MLPR which has a range of high end and high street fashion clients, I learnt a ridiculous amount and I was lucky enough to be working within a great team!
If any of you have ever even thought of interning I can't put into words how much I recommend that you take the leap of faith and just start applying for some positions that look like they might be of interest to you. Just to see what reaction you recieve and you've got nothing to lose right?! The great thing about internships aside from the on the job experience is that you can do as many as you like, as the majority of internships range from 1-3 months you have the trial period to see if it might be something that you want to follow through with. If not you can simply move onto the next, sounding fun yet?! Yes some may be tea making, or delivering around London roles but we all have to start somewhere! (As I'm just learning myself)
Overall It was a fantastic experience and I feel confident that having completed an internship will look fab to employers when I being applying again in January. And yes I think it is safe to say that the PR life is as glam as I imagined, I was lucky enough to meet Rosie Fortescue and 5 Inch&Up Blogger Sandra Hagelstam who is just as stunning in real life might I mention, and so humble!
When people ask me how did you get up and out of the house every morning that you wasn't getting paid, I simply laugh as I genuinely have no answer. These decisions are what defines you and there was something in side of me each morning that motivated me to get my ass up and over to the office. I was lucky enough to be paid travel and lunch expenses which is a rare treat, so thank you MLPR! Money is easily made but these experiences can be invaluable, and as so many of us are fighting for them It would be ridiculous for me to drop out for something so insignificant as money.
If you have any questions please do not hesistate to contact me, we can do this guys:)

Happy Wednesday:)

The arrival of H&M x Alexander Wang

OMG OMG OMG I am in shock at how quickly the exclusive collection has sold out, damn me for not taking this more seriously! The much anticipated collection dropped in store and online at 9am this morning and the vast majority of it has already sold out! Never fear I will be venturing to Oxford Street later on today to see what's left for us unorganised folk!

So here's some of my favourite pieces from the current collection:

Halloween 2014

Hi All! I hope you all had a fab Halloween, mine was defintley erm eventful? I've hadmy first 2 days off in about 2 months this weekend, So it would be silly of me not to shop ridiculousy, blog a little, and catch up on al the TV that i've been missing (What did I do before "The Middle?!)

As per usual this outfit choice was very last minute, with my mum suprising me with this gift from face lace on Halloween night. Hallelujah! Face Lace is a company specialising in stunning face stickers and masks, I'm sure this weekend was filled with Face Lace sporters as they are available to purchase either online at http://face-lace.com/ or at TOPSHOP.

Apologies fort the ridiculousy bad quality photos my phone died the minute we finally got in the club, and I had less than an hour to get ready and get out of the door. Phew the things we go through for Halloween.

Happy Sunday.x
