Where will you be?

With the summer fastly approaching (kind  of!) the attention is firmly placed on the best holiday destinations and the liveliest festivals guaranteed to give us a wild ride. Choosing the right festival for you is everything and it can have a massive impact on your experience if you're in a unfamiliar location with music you've never even heard of, so here's some of my recommendations:

Lovebox 2014 Friday 18th&19th July-Victoria Park- For those of you who are a fan of the house scene this could just be the festival for you, with various acts this year performing over the weekend including Sub Focus, Moderat and Ben Pearce it's sure to live up to the high standard that was set from previous years. The atmosphere is said to be electric, fast paced and high energy and the perfect retreat for the (Hopefully) warm weekend of July. And with tickets starting at just £35 it's a pretty hard event to miss!

Wireless Festival- 4th,5th&6th July-Finsbury Park- If you're into the charts and the R'n'B scene Wireless is your best bet, with an amazing atmosphere and guaranteed killer acts this is one of the biggest events of the summer. I attended the Festival last year and it exceeded my expectations with an amazing lineup, a mile long bar and more people than you could ever image the whole day seemed like an out of body experience. Tickets start at £65 and weekend package deals are available. Some of the most of the minute acts are headlining this year with the chart chopping artist Kanye West suprisingly being the headliner for the Friday.

V-Festival 16&17th August Hylands&Weston Park-
V-festival is known for bringing the biggest group of acts to one place for one epic weekend, the weather is usually scorching and Millions each year descend to the festival in an attempt to catch a glimpse at some of their favorite artists. With a variety of artists from different genres all types of people are brought together at this event. for example this year the house lovers will be attracted to Rudimental whilst the pop/R'n'B crowd will be drawn to Justin Timberlake. This type of festival is great at introducing people to new music and genres that they are unfamiliar with, It's sure to be a hit! Many come to the event to get a taste of the camping experience which is said to be pretty hardcore stuff, with a weekend price of £220 it is important to make sure that you know who is performing and are sure that you can hack a weekend of slumming it.
